ABOUT CATARINA

Coming from Indonesia, Catarina arrived in Canada under a family class sponsorship program and has lived in both Alberta and Vancouver, B.C.

With her background and experience, she realizes how important it is for you and your family to build a new life in Canada. Having been through the process, she is able to competently explain and give advice on the procedures.

Catarina’s background is in education. In 2001, she received her Bachelor of Education in Indonesia and has worked with foreign students since 2002. She came to Canada in 2008 and in 2010, she received her certificate in Life Skills Coaching and Career Counselling at Kelowna College of Professional Counselling (KCPC).

In 2013, Catarina started working with a private college in Richmond, B.C. as a Work Experience Specialist and Student Success Advisor. In this role, she equipped internationally-trained students with information on their next career move after completing studies. She also helped students find jobs, and thus learned about the opportunities available by choosing to live in remote Canadian cities. This is often a beneficial way to settle in Canada.

Today, Catarina is in good standing with The College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants (the College). This organization ensures that Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultants (RCICs) operate by a code of ethics while upholding certain standards of procedure in their practice. For you, hiring an RCIC means you are protected from illegal migrant advice. You should always report malpractice incidents to the Council. Whether or not you choose to work with Catarina, you should always be working with someone who is regulated, and part of the aforementioned Council.
